Abstract: We investigate the growth of linear perturbations on
self-similar gravitational collapse solutions of an isothermal sphere.
The perturbation equations are derived analytically, for
exponentially growing modes, as well as oscillatory modes and the resulting
system of differential equations is solved numerically, using
different algorithms..
